We are starting a brand new branch of our company installing heating & cooling mini-splits and heat pump central duct system technologies.
The Apprentice Heat Pump Installer will be part of the HVAC installation team responsible for the highest quality installation, repairs and maintenance of heat pump systems and HVAC systems for our residential customers. This position includes installations involving basic carpentry, line connections, commissioning systems, etc. Onsite training and continuous education will be provided.

Compensation
Hourly at $21-$27 per hr + 401K match + full benefits
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Planning and preparation for each installation
- Load materials into vehicles for each project
- Work directly with project installation lead and electricians during installations of airs source heat pumps, HRVs and water heaters
- Excellent teamwork skills: able to establish collaborative working relationships with peers and supervisors
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Proactivity: acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the process
- A commitment to a high quality of workmanship and attention to detail
- Maintain a respectful, professional and responsive relationship with customers and co-workers at all times
- Follow OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and best practices to ensure overall crew and job site safety
Requirements
- Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Must be able to comfortably lift 75 lbs, climb ladders, work on roofs and in crawl spaces in varying hot and cold temperatures
- Proficient with hand tools and basic construction techniques
- Experience with sheet metal work a plus
- Working knowledge of mechanical drawings, schematics, and instructions
- Strong desire to work for a renewable energy company and interest in developing professionally
