Position Description:
About the Role
DACUT Cannabis is seeking a dependable, hardworking Warehouse Custodian to support the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of our Flint cultivation facility.
This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary warehouse, cultivation, production, and common areas throughout the facility. The Warehouse Custodian plays an important role in maintaining a safe and efficient operation by completing routine cleaning, sanitation, waste removal, and general facility support tasks.
The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in keeping a facility clean and organized, and is comfortable performing physical work throughout the day. Previous cannabis experience is not required.
Essential Responsibilities
Facility Cleaning & Sanitation

Clean and sanitize warehouse, cultivation, production, and common areas throughout the facility.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and maintain floors on a routine basis.

Clean walls, doors, windows, work surfaces, and other facility areas as assigned.

Clean and maintain restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, offices, and employee common areas.

Disinfect high-touch surfaces and shared work areas.

Maintain cleanliness standards throughout the facility during daily operations.
Cultivation & Production Area Support
-
Clean and sanitize cultivation rooms between production cycles.
-
Assist with cleaning grow rooms, hallways, staging areas, and other cultivation spaces.
-
Clean trays, racks, tables, carts, containers, and other cultivation equipment as assigned.

Support room turnover and deep-cleaning activities.
-
Follow sanitation procedures designed to reduce contamination, pests, mold, and other risks within cultivation areas.

Work closely with Cultivation and Facilities teams to ensure areas are properly cleaned and prepared for production.
Warehouse Organization
-
Maintain clean and organized warehouse and storage areas.
-
Break down boxes and dispose of packaging materials appropriately.

Assist with organizing cleaning supplies, equipment, and facility materials.
-
Keep walkways, exits, loading areas, and workspaces clear of debris and potential hazards.

Assist with moving supplies, materials, and equipment as needed.
Waste & Trash Removal
-
Collect and remove trash from designated areas throughout the facility.

Empty trash containers and replace liners as needed.
-
Assist with cannabis and non-cannabis waste handling according to company procedures.

Maintain cleanliness of dumpsters, waste areas, and designated disposal locations.

Follow all company procedures for proper waste separation and disposal.
Cleaning Supplies & Equipment
-
Maintain inventory of cleaning products, sanitation supplies, PPE, and custodial materials.

Notify management when cleaning supplies need to be reordered.

Properly use and store cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and company safety procedures.

Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, mops, pressure washers, and other custodial equipment as required.

Maintain cleaning equipment in safe and working condition.
Safety & Compliance

Follow all company sanitation SOPs and workplace safety procedures.

Properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
-
Follow chemical handling and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements.

Immediately report spills, leaks, damaged equipment, safety hazards, or facility concerns.

Maintain cleaning logs and sanitation documentation as required.

Support facility inspections and compliance audits by maintaining clean, organized, and inspection-ready work areas.
Team Support
-
Work closely with Cultivation, Post-Harvest, Warehouse, and Facilities teams.

Respond to cleaning and sanitation needs throughout the facility.

Assist with facility projects, room turnovers, and general labor tasks as assigned.

Help maintain an organized, safe, and productive working environment.
Qualifications
Required
-
Previous custodial, janitorial, warehouse, general labor, or facility cleaning experience preferred.

Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
-
Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks without constant supervision.

Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
-
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
-
Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and custodial equipment.

Comfortable performing physical work throughout the entire shift.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred
-
Previous experience cleaning warehouses, manufacturing facilities, agricultural facilities, or other large commercial environments.

Experience operating commercial floor-cleaning equipment.
-
Experience working in cultivation, food production, manufacturing, or another regulated environment.

Knowledge of sanitation and contamination-prevention procedures.
-
Cannabis industry experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and move up to 60 pounds regularly throughout scheduled shifts.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while performing daily cultivation tasks.

Comfortable working in hot, humid grow environments with temperatures ranging from approximately 75–85°F and humidity levels between 60–70%.

Ability to work under high-intensity grow lighting for extended periods of time.

Must possess strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform detailed tasks such as trimming, transplanting, cloning, pruning, and plant maintenance.

Comfortable performing repetitive, detail-oriented work throughout the workday while maintaining consistency and quality standards.

Ability to operate cultivation tools, irrigation equipment, sprayers, trimming equipment, and other facility systems safely and effectively.

Comfortable working around cannabis plants, fertilizers, organic pesticides, soil, growing media, dust, and strong plant odors.

Ability to maintain focus, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced cultivation environment with strict compliance requirements.

Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented cultivation setting.

Ability to follow sanitation, safety, and compliance procedures precisely while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Comfortable moving throughout multiple grow rooms and cultivation areas during the course of a shift.

Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding plant health, equipment issues, and operational needs.
