Overview
Society Table is a brand-new 40-seat Southern comfort food restaurant built on a simple idea: "Where everyone has a seat." We're looking for servers who bring genuine warmth to every table and treat guests like family stopping by for Sunday supper. You'll guide diners through a menu of soulful classics, keep the energy welcoming, and help set the tone for what we hope becomes a neighborhood staple. Whether you're a seasoned server or someone with strong hospitality instincts looking to grow, if you believe great food tastes better with great company, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, provide menu recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Toast or Touch Bistro, ensuring timely and correct delivery.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience from start to finish.
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and resetting dining areas to maintain a clean, organized environment.
- Support host/hostess duties when needed, including seating guests and managing reservations via OpenTable or similar platforms.
Requirements
- Proven restaurant experience with a strong background in food service, fine dining, or hospitality environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast or Touch Bistro; experience with cashiering and cash handling is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is a plus for understanding food preparation processes.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for billing accuracy and transaction processing.
