Job Summary

Duties
- Safely operate box trucks to deliver packages across designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT regulations
- Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks
- Ensure accurate delivery by verifying recipient information and obtaining signatures when required
- Maintain a clean driving record by following safe driving practices, including manual transmission operation if applicable
- Use mobile devices to navigate routes, update delivery statuses, and communicate with dispatch teams effectively
- Handle heavy lifting with proper techniques to prevent injury while moving packages or materials
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging professionally with recipients and addressing any delivery concerns
Experience
- Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is highly desirable
- Proven commercial driving experience, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles
- Experience in delivery driving or courier services, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
- Knowledge of manual handling, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices in a logistics environment
- Familiarity with route driving, material handling equipment operation (such as pallet jacks), and load & unload procedures
- Understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations related to weight handling and vehicle operation
- Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
