As a CASHIER you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, processing payments, stocking shelves and providing excellent customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting customers with locating products, answering inquiries on product availability
- Accurately and efficiently process customer purchases with cash, credit/debit cards or other payment methods
- Ensuring correct change is provided if it is a cash transaction
- Stay informed about products, prices, as well as stocking products to maintain a clean and presentable store
- Efficiently bag and package customer purchase, ensuring items are handled with care
- Resolve customer concerns or issues related to the transaction with a positive and helpful attitude
- Adhere to all company safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by store owner & manager as well as supervisors
Skills:
- Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 50lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature-controlled environments; walking on a variety of flooring such as concrete, tile, carpet etc
- Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis
- Organizational Skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to bag customers purchases effectively with care
- Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers receive highest quality shopping experience
