Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Cafe Manager to lead our vibrant coffee and casual dining establishment. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage a talented team of hospitality professionals. Your leadership will drive the success of the cafe by maintaining high standards in food quality, safety, and team performance. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all cafe operations, including food preparation, beverage service, and customer interactions
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to foster a motivated and efficient team
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock management, and minimizing waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations through regular monitoring and staff training
- Handle cash management duties such as POS transactions (Aloha POS, Micros POS), cash handling, and financial reconciliation
- Maintain high levels of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth daily operations and timely service delivery
- Conduct staff interviews, performance evaluations, and ongoing training to promote a positive work environment
Experience
- Proven management experience in a fast-paced food service or hospitality environment, preferably in casual dining or quick service restaurants
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety management practices
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transactions and reporting
- Strong background in inventory control, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and food cost management
- Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising teams, training staff, and managing restaurant operations effectively
- Experience with catering, banquet services, or hotel food & beverage operations is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and deliver outstanding customer service
