Job Description
Geomatics Top Team is looking for an experienced Land Survey Crew Chief to join our growing team in South Florida.
We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented individual capable of independently running a survey crew and performing a variety of survey projects including:
- Residential Boundary Surveys
- Mortgage/Title Surveys
- ALTA/NSPS Surveys
- Topographic Surveys
- Construction Layout & Staking
- Elevation Certificates
- As-Built Surveys
The ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently in the field, communicating with office staff, and handling daily field operations efficiently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage a survey crew in the field
- Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys
- Locate property corners, improvements, utilities, and easements
- Collect accurate field data using GPS and robotic total stations
- Communicate effectively with office staff and project managers
- Maintain organized field notes and daily workflow
- Ensure equipment and vehicles are properly maintained
- Interact professionally with property owners and contractors
Requirements
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING AS A LAND SURVEYING CREW CHIEF, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Land Survey Crew Chief
- Experience with residential and commercial boundary surveys
- Experience with construction layout and staking
- Ability to read plats, legal descriptions, and construction plans
- Experience with GPS and robotic total stations
- Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in South Florida weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Compensation & Benefits
- Performance-based commission pay. Compensation is based on production, with top-producing crews earning up to $93,000 per year.
