Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Seasonal Head Line Cook to lead our culinary team during peak seasons through October. This lakeside dining establishment offers quick menu options of burgers, lobster rolls, fish and chips and other menu items in high-volume food preparation. Having skill in team member building, menu execution, and kitchen leadership. As the key player in our kitchen, you will oversee daily operations, ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service.
Duties
- Lead the preparation and presentation of all menu items, ensuring consistency and quality in a fast-paced environment
- Supervise kitchen staff, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain a motivated team atmosphere, create schedules and labor levels.
- Oversee food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling practices to meet health regulations
- Food order and inventory
- Collaborating with food and beverage manager and FOH manager
- Manage food production processes including grilling, frying.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimize waste through efficient food management
- Stay calm under pressure to ensure high-volume production
Skills
- Previous experience in high-volume food service environments
- Strong knowledge of food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Proficiency in various cooking methods including grilling and frying
- Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced kitchen setting with high-volume production experience
