Responsibilities
- Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance calls related to plumbing failures, water leaks, or system malfunctions, providing immediate solutions to minimize disruption.
- Diagnose plumbing issues using technical drawings, schematics, and plumbing inspection cameras; determine the most effective repair strategies.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on water systems, including pipes, fixtures, valves, and pumps, utilizing hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques.
- Utilize construction experience and carpentry skills to assist with remodeling or assembly projects as needed on-site.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and inspections conducted; ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety standards.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on plumbing systems and emergency repairs in commercial or residential settings.
- Skilled in construction plumbing techniques, including pipe threading, installation, repair, and maintenance of water systems.
- Familiarity with welding, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems is highly desirable.
- Experience using plumbing hand tools; comfortable working with power tools for various repair tasks.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations to ensure all work is compliant.
- Prior construction site experience involving remodeling, assembly projects, or handyman tasks is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; basic math skills for measurements and calculations; strong problem-solving capabilities within a fast-paced environment.
