Overview
Healthcare Global Institute LLC is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and enthusiastic Medication Aide Instructor to join our growing team. The instructor will deliver an 8-week hybrid Medication Aide training program that prepares students for success in accordance with Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) standards.
The ideal candidate is passionate about educating future healthcare professionals, has strong clinical experience in long-term care, and enjoys mentoring adult learners in both online and hands-on classroom settings.
Responsibilities
- Teach Medication Aide theory through live online (Zoom) instruction.
- Conduct hands-on medication administration skills training in the classroom and skills lab.
- Supervise and evaluate student competency and return demonstrations.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with the Texas HHSC Medication Aide curriculum.
- Ensure students meet all course objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a positive, professional, and engaging learning environment.
- Participate in program improvement and faculty meetings as needed.
Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care.
- Experience administering medications in a long-term care setting.
- Previous teaching or staff development experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills.
- Comfortable teaching in both virtual and in-person environments.
- Familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft Office, and electronic documentation.
Pay: From $38.00 per hour
