We are seeking a Medical Biller with A/R experience. This is a fully remote position, and candidates must reside in the state of Florida.
This role requires a Level 2 background check and verification of prior employment.
Position Overview
The candidate will be supporting daily operations of the medical billing and revenue cycle department. This individual will be responsible for overseeing workflows, ensuring accuracy and compliance, optimizing team performance, and supporting continuous process improvement within the billing function.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day operations of the medical billing and revenue cycle team
- Oversee charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, and denial management processes
- Monitor and ensure accuracy of patient demographics, provider data, and coding prior to claim submission
- Review and resolve claim errors, rejections, and denials in a timely manner
- Supervise follow-up efforts on unpaid claims and aging accounts receivable
- Analyze AR reports, identify trends, and implement corrective action plans
- Support communication with insurance companies and payer representatives to resolve escalated issues
- Assist in developing and maintaining efficient workflows and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with leadership to improve revenue cycle performance and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Background in medical billing and revenue cycle management
- Proficient knowledge of:
- ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Insurance claims processing and reimbursement methodologies
- Denial management and appeals processes
- Experience working with EHR and billing systems
- Advanced understanding of accounts receivable management and reporting
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies
- Familiarity with revenue cycle analytics and performance improvement initiatives
