Growing Plumbing and HVAC company seeking to hire an HVAC Technician. The right candidate would work with a team to install, maintain, and repair residential heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing systems. Key responsibilities include installation of new equipment in new residential constructions as well as replacement of heating and cooling equipment. Candidates will be responsible for diagnosing equipment failures, fixing leaks, repairing pipes, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of HVAC units. Experience with repairing and installation of plumbing fixtures is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- HVAC Systems: Install, maintain, and repair HVAC units, including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, and AC units.
- Plumbing Systems: Candidates who are also able to Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and sewage systems can also grow in our company. This experience is a plus, but not essential to be a qualified candidate.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions in plumbing and HVAC equipment to fix issues, such as repairing leaks, replacing faulty parts, or recharging refrigerants.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to safety regulations, building codes, and environmental guidelines regarding refrigerant handling.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance
- Customer Service: Professional presentation and communication skills required to Interact with a loyal customer base to explain issues.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2+ years of plumbing and/or HVAC experience
- Education: High school diploma or GED; technical training in HVAC/Plumbing.
- Background Check: Able to pass a drug test and background check
- Licensure: Valid driver’s license
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using hand tools and testing tools
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for long periods.
- Knowledge: Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
Typical Working Conditions
- Work is done in varied conditions, including tight crawl spaces, rooftops, and in diverse weather conditions.
- Occasionally involves working on-call, evenings, or weekends
- Typical work week M-F 7am to 4pm
