Kitchen Manager – Upscale Grocery Market
We are seeking an experienced and driven Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in a fast-paced, upscale grocery store environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, managing inventory and ordering, and leading a high-performing team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and organization
- Manage and mentor kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance development
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Handle inventory control, product rotation, and ordering to ensure optimal stock levels and minimal waste
- Coordinate and execute catering orders with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Collaborate with leadership on menu development, seasonal offerings, and cost control initiatives
- Monitor labor and food costs to meet financial goals
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role
- Strong background in high-volume, fast-paced culinary environments
- Experience with catering operations and large-order execution
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of inventory systems, ordering processes, and cost control
- Passion for food quality, team development, and guest satisfaction
