This is a part time shift being Friday and Saturday nights with potential of picking up shifts when available.
The bartender is responsible for keeping the bar area clean, and serving guests drinks and food at the bar, floor, and patio area. The bartender must have a range of knowledge on beer, mixed drinks, and shots. Quick thinking, being aware of surroundings and monitoring guests for signs that they have had too much alcohol are also important tasks for this position.
Providing the highest quality of customer service while maintaining control of the bar, serving drinks and managing the finances require attention to detail, an exceptional work ethic, and extreme focus. At the end of each night the Bartender will cash-out the drawer, making sure It balances with the POS system and note any discrepancies. He or she will input credit card tips, ring in tickets and count cash tips. Lastly, the Bartender will take alcohol inventories to carry into the next shift.
Bartenders make an hourly wage along with tips.
