Position Summary
The Accounting Manager is a vital member of the Finance & Administration Team, responsible for the organization’s daily accounting operations ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This role manages core accounting functions including general ledger activity, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, payroll coordination, month-end close, budgeting support, and audit preparation. The Accounting Manager also helps maintain internal controls, supports process improvements, and collaborates across departments to support organizational and financial goals.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Manages accounts payable including cash management, data entry, check processing, vendor management, and 1099 reporting
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Assists with year-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, audits, tax reporting, and preparation of supporting financial documentation
- Processes payroll using Paychex, includes employee record management, bi-weekly processing, and 401k management using Voya
- Serves as the administration for SAP Concur, completes set-up, training, processing & reconciliation
- Maintains internal controls, accounting procedures, and accurate financial records
- Collaborates with leadership and other departments to support organizational and financial goals

Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in accounting with a strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with general ledger management, account reconciliations, cash management, and financial analysis.
- Understanding of nonprofit and/or corporate accounting environments preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
