Delmarva Printing Inc. is a company with extensive knowledge in the world of offset and digital printing. Located in Salisbury, Maryland, we provide communication services to the entire Eastern Shore as well as the Washington/Baltimore/Virginia.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bindery Operator with proven experience to join our dynamic printing and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining bindery equipment to produce high-quality printed materials efficiently and accurately. Your expertise will ensure that each project meets our rigorous standards for quality, precision, and timely delivery. Duties
- Operate various bindery machinery including folding machines, saddle stitchers, perfect binders, and cutter equipment to assemble printed products.
- Set up and adjust machinery according to job specifications, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the binding process to identify and correct defects or inconsistencies.
- Perform routine maintenance on bindery equipment to prevent downtime and extend machinery lifespan.
- Manage inventory of supplies such as binding materials, blades, adhesives, and other consumables.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while operating machinery, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
Skills
- Extensive experience operating bindery equipment such as folding machines, Heidelberg, Polar cutters, Stahl, and other finishing tools.
- Strong understanding of print finishing processes including trimming, folding and binding.
- Knowledge of prepress workflows, color management techniques, and layout design principles.
- Familiarity with manufacturing standards, quality control procedures, and safety regulations in a production environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and perform basic machining or Stahl, Heidelberg, adjustments when needed.
- Valid forklift certification is advantageous for managing raw materials and finished products efficiently.

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
