Responsibilities
- Support lead plumbers with the installation and repair of plumbing systems using hand tools and power tools.
- Assist with pipe threading, cutting, fitting, and assembly of plumbing components according to schematics and blueprints.
- Help maintain and organize construction site materials, tools, and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Learn to read and interpret construction schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Participate in remodeling and maintenance tasks on various construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Support the setup of mechanical systems including HVAC components, ensuring proper alignment and connections.
- Aid in basic welding tasks when necessary and perform handyman duties as assigned by supervisors.
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with construction site operations and basic carpentry skills.
- Knowledge of construction plumbing techniques, pipe threading, and schematic reading.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices safely.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills on the job.
