We are seeking a Georgia-certified teacher to provide in-home educational support for a 6-year-old nonverbal autistic student in Macon, GA (31220).
The student is currently being homeschooled through the Georgia Promise Scholarship program. The family is looking for an experienced educator who can help guide early learning instruction and provide structured support in foundational phonics, early literacy (ELA), and basic math skills.
The student is already using using a variety of learning supports including technology tools, printed curriculum, matching activities, and puzzles.
Details:
· Job Type: Part-time (Independent Contractor)
· Schedule: 1-2 sessions per week, 1 hour each session. family willing to adjust schedule to accommodate tutor availability
· Pay: $35.00/hour
· You’ll report hours via our online system and are paid twice per month.
Requirements
- Active and valid Georgia teaching certification required
- Drivers License
- Experience working with students with autism
- Background in special education, early childhood education, or elementary instruction
- Comfortable adapting lessons for nonverbal communication and different learning styles
- Patient, creative, and reliable
Current schedule considerations:
- ABA therapy most days 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, free after 3:30PM
- Fridays available after 12:30 PM
- Additional times during the week may be arranged as needed
