Responsibilities
Assist dentists with a wide range of procedures, including general dentistry, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection control protocols. Take dental X-rays, while maintaining proper aseptic techniques and ensuring patient safety. Provide chairside assistance during procedures by managing dental instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clear operative field. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with infection control practices by adhering to strict sterilization standards and maintaining a clean clinical environment. Educate patients on post-treatment care and dental terminology to promote understanding and comfort throughout their visit.
Requirements
Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to ensure patient confidentiality and safety. Familiarity with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry, taking X-rays, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging procedures. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists, hygienists, specialists, and patients. Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
