American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a PICU position at a children's hospital, requiring RRT certification and PICU or NICU experience.
-
Work in the PICU/NICU respiratory care unit at a children's hospital
-
Provide bedside respiratory care in NICU, PICU, emergency department, and pediatric/adult acute care wards
-
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (19:00-7:30)
-
No call requirements
-
May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals per unit needs
-
Epic EMR experience preferred
-
Current RRT certification required
-
BLS certification required
-
PALS and NRP certifications preferred
-
Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
-
PICU or NICU experience required
-
State license required if applicable
-
Epic charting experience preferred
-
Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
-
Experience with ventilator management, airway management, and neonatal/pediatric respiratory equipment
-
Experience with ECMO, high frequency oscillator, and high frequency jet ventilator preferred
-
Proficiency in ABG interpretation and mechanical ventilation weaning
-
Provide therapeutic interventions including airway management, ventilator management, newborn resuscitation, and CPR
-
Perform diagnostic procedures including arterial blood sampling, bedside spirometry, and point of care testing
-
Deliver age-specific care in accordance with the hospital's Family Centered Care Program
-
Train new respiratory therapists, students, and healthcare team members as needed
-
Chart and document all services per hospital policy

Unit accepts first-time travelers
-
Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no mileage radius restriction

Candidates must have been away from OHSU for 6 or more months to return as a traveler

COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions accepted
