The State University of New York (SUNY) is seeking a highly organized and self-directed individual to help lead a grant-funded effort to connect SUNY undergraduate students to internships in Artificial Intelligence. This individual will help cement industry partnerships and ultimately secure paid internship placements. The position is based in Albany, NY and will report to the Director of Internships and Employer Partnerships.
This position length is anticipated to be 24 months.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under the general direction of the Director for Internships and Employer partnerships, manage and build out a grant focused on connecting SUNY undergraduate students to micro-credentials and internships.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with employers in the artificial intelligence and technology sectors to expand internship opportunities for SUNY students.
- Conduct outreach to businesses, industry associations, and workforce partners to secure paid AI internship placements.
- Collaborate with SUNY campuses statewide to identify qualified student candidates and facilitate internship matching.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support grant objectives, events, and promotional activities.
- Lead the compilation, and ensure accuracy of, reporting materials from various sources.
- Leader project coordination, communication, data collection/reporting, evaluation and preparation of written and electronic materials and reports.
- Travel in support of project activities and events (approximately 10% across NYS).
- Other duties as assigned.
