Sorenson Forensics, a leader in forensic DNA testing, is seeking an experienced DNA Analyst (Remote.) This is a part-time, 1099 position with compensation based on piece-work. Please note that no benefits are provided.
Although this position is fully remote, you will be working with our Forensic Scientists and team based in Draper, Utah.
- Meets FBI QAS degree qualifications (Bachelor’s in biology, forensics, or a related discipline)
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of previous forensic analysis experience
- Perform case write-ups for criminal casework
- Conduct tech and admin reviews
- Produce detailed and accurate reports of results and conclusions
- Interpret technical data and prepare a report with your scientific opinion that must pass peer review and be compliant with standard operating procedures
- Conduct statistical analysis on DNA test results
- Collaborate with co-workers to adjust processes as needed to satisfy customer needs and maximize production without sacrificing quality
- Ability to write, read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, standards, and procedures
- Exemplary written and oral English communication skills
- Attention to detail without losing sight of end goals
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Preferred, but not required, STRmix training
