The Sales Engineer is responsible for all Sales and Engineering aspects of project activities related to developing new projects as well as maintaining existing products. This includes interactions with customers and external vendors as well as collaboration with internal resources for moving new, revised, or transferred injection molding and assembled projects through quoting and part approval processes. This position will also ensure the development of proper documentation for quality requirements such as first article inspections, PFMEAs, capability studies, and PPAP submissions utilizing the APQP project management system. Expectations also include cost reductions and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or five years of related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in injection molding tool design, processing and project management required
- Knowledge of molding processes and related support processes and secondary operations of plastics is preferred (molding, welding, machining, joining, and assembly methods)
- Ability to read blueprints and knowledge or experience with 3D CAD software is desired
- Knowledge of ERP and Project Management systems is preferred (IQMS is ideal)
- Proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and Project)
