Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Back of House Team Member to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring smooth meal preparation, food safety, and efficient service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong kitchen skills, and experience in food handling and preparation. Responsibilities
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation to ensure timely service
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Handle food safely and maintain proper hygiene practices in all food handling activities
- Support kitchen operations by organizing supplies, cleaning workstations, and maintaining sanitation standards
- Assist with catering events, special meal preparations, and serving as needed
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other culinary tools
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food presentation
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience within the food industry or culinary environment
- Proficiency with knife skills and meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and attention to detail
- Experience in catering or serving is advantageous but not required
