Duties
- Lead quality inspections on production lines using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, micrometers, calipers, and vision inspection systems to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Conduct detailed quality audits in accordance with IAFT regulations to ensure compliance across all manufacturing processes.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and manufacturing documents to facilitate accurate quality assessments and identify potential deviations or non-conformities.
- Utilize advanced measurement tools like coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other measuring instruments to perform dimensional measurements and analyze data for process improvements.
- Coordinate with production teams to address quality issues promptly, implementing corrective actions aligned with regulatory/legal compliance standards.
- Support calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments to guarantee measurement precision and reliability.
- Document inspection results meticulously, maintain accurate records for audits, and participate in root cause analysis to resolve recurring quality issues.
Experience
- Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to medical device or pharmaceutical production.
- Strong knowledge of IAFT regulations related to manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with Calypso software or similar quality management systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with calibration procedures for precision measurement instruments such as height gauges, micrometers, calipers, vision systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Mechanical knowledge including blueprint interpretation (GD&T), use of measuring instruments, and understanding of manufacturing workflows.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data collected through various inspection methods for process improvement opportunities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform quality audits, interpret production documents, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Basic math proficiency for data analysis and measurement calculations; effective communication skills for reporting findings clearly.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
