American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 1.5–2 years of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, including travel experience, for a 13-week assignment in West Virginia.

Cardiac Cath Lab setting performing diagnostic and interventional cardiology along with endovascular peripheral intervention
-
Primary schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with 5x8-hour shifts (7:30 AM–4:00 PM) scheduled as needed

Call required: 1 weekday per week and 1 weekend every 4–6 weeks, including holidays

Cardiac procedures include stent placement, diagnostic and left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, laser-assisted procedures, rotablader atherectomy, PA line insertion, and temporary pacemaker
-
Peripheral/vascular procedures include upper and lower extremity angiography, abdominal and pelvic angioplasty, embolization, IVC filter placement, and stent placement

Equipment includes Siemens imaging systems and PACS

EMR: Cerner

Electrophysiology (EP) lab and interventional radiology experience preferred

Minimum of 1.5–2 years of Cath Lab experience required

Travel experience required

Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology

ARRT R.T.(R) certification required; ARRT CI preferred

Current BLS and ACLS required
-
WV Medical Imaging (RT) license required to operate fluoroscopy equipment; license required if applicable — may submit with license pending if ETA is 1–2 weeks prior to start

Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, scrubbing and maintaining sterile field, vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias

Ability to perform medium-level physical work, including frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs and a maximum lift of 50 lbs

Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Performs endovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures under physician direction, including monitoring patient hemodynamic status and documenting throughout procedures
-
Responsibilities include equipment setup, access site preparation, room circulation, scrubbing to assist the physician, and accurate hemodynamic monitoring

Maintains competency with isolation precautions, rapid response protocols, and supply stocking
-
Maintains all required licenses, certifications, and competency assessments and attends mandatory in-services and staff meetings
