We are currently seeking an experienced Final Assembly Mechanic Lead to join our team in the machinery industry. As the Final Assembly Mechanic Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful assembly and inspection of our machinery products. You will be responsible for leading a team of assembly mechanics, overseeing the final stages of the assembly process, and ensuring that all products meet our quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of assembly mechanics in the final stages of the machinery assembly process.
- Ensure that all machinery products are assembled accurately and efficiently, following blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections and tests on finished products to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues or errors, collaborating with the engineering team if necessary.
- Train and mentor new assembly mechanics, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality assurance, to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement them.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Proven experience working in a final assembly or production environment, preferably in the machinery industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, able to effectively lead and mentor a team.
- Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of assembly techniques and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accurate assembly and efficient problem-solving.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve assembly issues effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and regulations related to machinery assembly.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent, additional technical certifications preferred.
