Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides clerical, administrative, and data entry support for the Counseling Center. Work involves receiving and entering client intake information and scheduling appointments. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for answering phones and directing calls and clients, maintaining accurate medical and financial records, processing billing inquiries and responding to/triaging client requests. This position requires independent judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and a high degree of initiative. Considerable tact and professionalism are necessary in frequent interactions with the public and staff. Reports to the Clerical Supervisor.

Must pass all required Background Checks.

Must possess a valid Virginia Driver's License with reliable transportation and driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier.
- Must obtain a TB test with satisfactory results within 30 days of employment, and yearly thereafter as required by licensing authority.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required, supplemented by coursework in administrative support, secretarial sciences, or a related field.
Experience
A minimum of 2 years of administrative or clerical experience in a clinical or health services setting is preferred. Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
