Motorworks Northwest is a well-established, family-owned independent automotive repair facility looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. We're not looking for a parts changer. We're looking for a skilled technician who takes pride in diagnosing and repairing vehicles correctly, communicates well with coworkers, and enjoys working in a professional, drama-free environment. What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years automotive repair experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Must own and know how to use professional automotive tools
- Comfortable using computers, scan tools, service information systems, and digital inspections
- Excellent communication skills with service advisors and office staff
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair domestic and import vehicles
- Perform quality inspections and maintenance services
- Use scan tools and service information systems efficiently
- Clearly document findings, recommendations, and repairs
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle needs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Continue learning as vehicle technology evolves
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience diagnosing and repairing domestic and import vehicles
- European vehicle experience is a plus but not required
- Strong electrical and drivability diagnostic skills
- ASE certifications are appreciated but not required for the right candidate
