What You'll Do
As our Maintenance Technician, you'll help maintain our beautiful senior living community by performing a variety of maintenance and groundskeeping duties, including:
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs
- Complete minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, and carpentry projects
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community
- Maintain equipment and building systems in safe working order
- Assist with fire and life safety equipment inspections
- Keep the campus, grounds, sidewalks, and parking lots clean, attractive, and safe
- Remove snow and ice during inclement weather
- Assist outside contractors and service vendors
- Pick up maintenance supplies and repair parts
- Observe the campus daily and identify maintenance concerns before they become problems
- Assist other Facilities team members as needed
- Participate in weekend coverage, including hourly pay plus a flat bonus
- Perform other duties that help provide an exceptional home for our residents
What We're Looking For
We're more interested in finding the right person than checking every box.
If you're dependable, enjoy solving problems, and have a strong mechanical aptitude, we'd love to meet you.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in maintenance, facilities, apartment maintenance, construction, handyman work, or a related trade is helpful but not required
- We are willing to train the right candidate
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Schedule
- Full-time (approximately 40 hours per week)
- On-call required
