We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Class A Truck Driver to join our transportation team! In this role, you will be the backbone of our logistics operations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight. Your expertise in driving tractor-trailers and handling diverse cargo types will help keep our supply chain running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers across a designated route, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and proper handling.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and route documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel usage and minimizing delays.
- Communicate effectively with Logistics team, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Ensure accurate loading and unloading of products, verifying quantities and documentation.
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating tractor-trailers.
- Familiarity with driving refrigerated trailers
- Experience in load & unload operations using forklifts or other loading equipment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight handling and route driving regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy cargo and securing loads safely.
- Strong communication skills .
