Responsibilities
- Engage residents through face-to-face conversations in outdoor neighborhood settings, promoting our programs or initiatives with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Conduct door-to-door canvassing campaigns to inform communities about our services, events, or fundraising efforts
- Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, track outreach progress, and manage contact information efficiently
- Build rapport with diverse audiences by demonstrating strong conversational engagement and active listening skills
- Collaborate with team members to strategize outreach plans and share feedback on community responses
- Maintain safety protocols during outdoor work, including walking through neighborhoods and managing outdoor work conditions
Experience
- Prior field sales experience or experience in canvassing, telemarketing, or door-to-door outreach is highly desirable
- Background in marketing or community engagement enhances your ability to connect effectively with residents
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership roles within outreach teams
- Proven customer service skills and the ability to communicate confidently in face-to-face settings are essential
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to engage with diverse communities effectively
- Outdoor work experience, including walking extensively using transportation methods such as walking or biking, is preferred
- Experience in fundraising or community activism demonstrates your passion for social impact and community service
