Description:
Definition: Counselors are responsible for the direct application of PA Treatment & Healing processes and programs.
Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities: The counselor will preform all therapeutic functions and duties on a day-to-day basis, including but no limited to the following:

Handle intake assessments.

Implement individual and family service treatment plans.

Accurately and properly document client files.
-
Accompany youth and participate in proceeding related to the youth’s treatment.

Complete daily, weekly, and monthly report writing.
-
Schedule and arrange appointments for the provision of services including evaluations.

Preform individual, family and group therapy under the supervision of the clinical supervisor.

Interact with outside collaborative agencies regarding youth attendance and progress on goals.

Participate and conduct creative therapeutic activities.

Preform any other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Knowledge of individual, family, and group therapy techniques.

Possesses positive values and abilities to exhibit good moral judgment.

Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
Ability to comprehend and abide by PA Treatment & Healings code of ethics.
Supervision:
-
This position has no direct reports.
-
Counselors report to the clinical supervisor and/or program manager.
Education and Experience:
-
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in one of the social sciences. Proof of bachelor’s degree is required.

Must be 21 years of age or older.
