We are hiring ASAP!!! We are looking for an Avionics Electronics Test & Repair Technician job opportunity with a reputable aerospace manufacturing company in Grand Rapids, MI (southeast near the Airport). BENEFITS offered immediately (no waiting period)! This a long term 12 month contract with possible extensions and/or possible conversion after the contract period. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of electronics repair and troubleshooting experience to the component level and strong soldering skills (and avionics experience is highly desired as well)!
Location: Grand Rapid, MI
Schedule Options: 9/80 (working Monday-Friday then Monday-Thursday, so every other Friday off). Openings on both 1st Shift (6am-3pm) or 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11:30pm)
Overtime: Yes, at 1.5x pay rate
Contract Duration: 12 months + possible extensions and/or possible FTE conversion

Job Summary:
The Avionics Electronics Test & Repair Technician is responsible testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating avionics electronics. You will work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, schematics and/or test procedures Diagnose and analyze problems utilizing a variety of test equipment.
Key Functions:
- Construct, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment we use to support RF testing/tuning.
- Ensure we have correct functionality of units under test and test equipment.
- Responsible testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating avionics electronics
- Working knowledge of statistical process control as applied to related assembly, inspection and test processes
- Work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, schematics and/or test procedures
- Diagnose and analyze problems utilizing a variety of test equipment
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years of electronics repair and troubleshooting experience – experience with and ability to diagnose and repair complex electronic system
- 3+ years experience performing tuning and troubleshooting on complex RF assemblies and digital circuits to the component level.
- Ideal candidate has experience in the aerospace, military, and/or communications satellite hardware production (but not required)
- Proficiency with signal generators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
- Strong soldering skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- IPC A610 or JST 001 Certification or the ability to pass the ESD certification, IPC A610 and JSTD 001.
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
