Position Description
CTS is an online, aviation, and safety training provider is seeking a Training Content Specialist to help revise, maintain, and improve aviation training content. This role is a good fit for a strong writer and editor who enjoys working with detailed information, researching unfamiliar subjects, and using technology to improve the quality and efficiency of their work.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review and revise aviation training content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and completeness.
- Compare course materials with regulatory guidance, source documents, client requirements, and subject matter expert feedback.
- Research technical, operational, and regulatory topics using reliable sources.
- Write and revise assessment questions, answer choices, explanations, and related instructional content.
- Support client-specific projects, including operations manual content and other documentation.
- Use AI tools to assist with research, writing, editing, and quality review.
- Verify AI-generated information and document recommended changes or content concerns.
- Coordinate with project management, writers, developers, and subject matter experts to complete assigned work.
Candidate Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Careful attention to accuracy, consistency, and source support.
- Ability to understand, organize, and clearly explain detailed information.
- Ability to compare documents, identify meaningful differences, and write effective assessment questions.
- Comfortable learning unfamiliar technical, operational, or regulatory subjects.
- Strong organization, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate with a team, and apply feedback.
- Proficiency with common word-processing and document-review tools.
- Interest in using AI tools responsibly to improve research, writing, editing, and quality review.
Experience with instructional or technical content, assessment writing, operations manuals, compliance documentation, aviation, e-learning, or generative AI tools is helpful but not required.
Formal education, certifications, aviation experience, and a specific number of years of experience are not required. Candidates will be evaluated primarily on their ability to perform the work.
