What You’ll Do
This is not a “sit back and review reports” Controller role. You’ll be in the middle of it all — leading, improving, solving.
You will:
- Own and oversee accounting, banking, payroll, audits, and financial reporting
- Lead expenditure projections and financial planning
- Guide and develop a small, capable team of managers and staff
- Partner closely with the CAO on:
- Budget development
- Financial analysis
- Board reporting and presentations
- Serve as a key point of contact for funding agencies and government partners
- Ensure everything we do meets regulatory and funding requirements

What You Bring
- Strong background in nonprofit and government-related accounting
- Experience managing government funding streams (especially Florida-based is a plus)
- Confidence leading audits, compliance, and financial reporting
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team
- Comfort working in a high-accountability, regulated environment
