Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in diesel engine repair, ensuring that our fleet of vehicles and equipment operates efficiently and safely. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance on diesel engines and related systems.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, ensuring all work meets industry standards.
- Perform tire services including installation, rotation, and balancing.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Repair and maintain hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot HVAC systems as needed for vehicle climate control.
- Work with cranes and other heavy equipment to perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop or field environments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in diesel engine repair is helpful.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
- Familiarity with tire service techniques is a plus.
- Experience with hydraulics and crane operations is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license is required; CDL is a plus but not mandatory.
