Project Engineer, Land Development

We are looking for a Project Engineer who is ready to build on previous experience and take the next step in their career. In this role, you will play an important part in improving site design, utilities, and stormwater systems while learning about project management and client coordination. Position Title: Project Engineer, Land Development
Responsibilities
- Support and lead the development of site designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Prepare design and technical documents throughout all project phases.
- Assist with water, sanitary sewer, subdivision, erosion and sediment control, and storm drainage design.
- Produce construction drawings for site layout, grading, geometry, utilities, and stormwater management.
- Prepare planning studies, preliminary and final design plans, and project permitting documents.
- Research codes, entitlement processes, and permitting requirements to ensure compliance.
- Perform QA/QC reviews of your work before submission to senior staff.
- Keep accurate notes from calls, meetings, and site visits.
- Work with project managers to track schedules, deliverables, and client expectations.
- Help train and develop junior staff as your role expands.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in civil/site design and land development.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal design standards and permitting processes.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset.
- Interest in pursuing or maintaining professional licensure.
