Job Description
The Retail Operations Flex Specialist responsibilities include supporting various teams by managing a diverse portfolio of loan files, ensuring timely and accurate processing while maintaining exceptional service levels. This position specifically requires coverage of paid time off (PTO) for Retail Processors as needed. This position also requires processing of overflow loans and other duties and/or mortgage or company related tasks as assigned by management.
Please note that there are two positions available, one in the Houston, TX office and one in the Paramus, NJ office.
Primary Job Duties:
- Process applications for submission to underwriting

Work with loan officers, borrowers, underwriters, closers, AMC’s and title companies

Works with third parties to obtain conditions

Scanning and uploading file documentation into LOS

Clear loan conditions with applicants and communicating with loan officers

Analyze Credit, income, tax returns and asset documents

File follow-up and notation in accordance with policy

Ensure confidentiality of client files

Provide coverage in Retail Operations and related departments, helping to ensure continuity and consistency in service.

Provide functional support as needed, adjusting priorities to meet fluctuating workloads and departmental requirements.

Respond proactively to varying business demands by assisting multiple teams and helping maintain service and productivity standards.

Other duties and/or mortgage or company related tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
-
At least 3 years in a loan processing environment or similar preferred
-
Demonstrated ability to work independently
-
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Previous mortgage processing experience required

High School diploma or equivalent
-
Intermediate level knowledge of mortgage loan documents, loan origination and underwriting guidelines

Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines while maintaining high-quality results.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures, manuals, policies, and regulations
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization.

Excellent customer service skills

Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications (Word, Excel, MS Outlook, Teams)

Target base salary range is 52-54K which is based on various factors including skills and work experience.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive additional compensation program via monthly bonus that is based on individual performance
