Position Title: Landscape Account Manager
Reports To: General Manager / Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
Mahon Property Maintenance is seeking a motivated and results-driven Landscape Account Manager to manage and grow an existing portfolio of commercial landscape maintenance accounts while developing new business opportunities. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining property quality standards, identifying enhancement opportunities, and securing new maintenance agreements.
The ideal candidate is a relationship builder with strong sales skills, a passion for customer service, and an eye for landscape quality. This position offers significant earning potential through a competitive commission structure tied directly to sales growth and client retention.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESAccount Management & Client Relations
- Manage and maintain an assigned book of commercial landscape maintenance accounts.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding service requests, concerns, and opportunities.
- Conduct regular client meetings and property visits.
- Build long-term relationships that promote client retention and satisfaction.
- Ensure contract expectations are being met and exceeded.
- Maintain accurate customer records and account activity within company systems.
Quality Assurance & Property Audits
- Conduct routine property inspections and quality audits.
- Evaluate completed work to ensure compliance with Mahon Property Maintenance standards.
- Identify service deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions with operations teams.
- Document site conditions and communicate recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure crews are delivering consistent, high-quality service.
Enhancement Sales
- Identify and develop opportunities for landscape enhancements including:
- Mulch installations
- Seasonal color programs
- Tree and shrub replacements
- Irrigation improvements
- Drainage solutions
- Hardscape improvements
- Landscape renovations
- Additional property improvement projects
- Prepare and present proposals to clients.
- Follow up on opportunities and close enhancement sales.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
New Business Development
- Prospect and generate new commercial maintenance opportunities.
- Develop relationships with property managers, facility managers, HOAs, and commercial property owners.
- Conduct site assessments and prepare maintenance proposals.
- Participate in networking and business development activities.
- Meet established sales goals for new maintenance contracts.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with production and operations teams to ensure client expectations are met.
- Participate in weekly meetings and planning sessions.
- Support contract renewals and pricing adjustments.
- Promote company values and professionalism in all interactions.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONSNew Maintenance Sales
- Generate $150,000+ in annual maintenance contract sales.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and prospecting schedule.
- Consistently pursue new business opportunities.
Enhancement Sales
- Generate $150,000+ in annual enhancement sales.
- Proactively identify opportunities during routine property inspections.
- Maintain strong proposal follow-up and closing ratios.
Client Retention
- Maintain a 90% or greater annual client retention rate.
- Successfully renew existing maintenance agreements.
- Resolve client concerns quickly and professionally.
Quality Management
- Complete regular property audits on all assigned accounts.
- Ensure properties consistently meet company quality standards.
- Work proactively with operations to improve service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONSRequired
- Minimum 2 years of experience in landscape management, account management, property management, or sales.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ASPIRE software.
Preferred
- Commercial landscape industry experience.
- Experience selling landscape maintenance agreements.
- Experience selling landscape enhancement projects.
- Knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance practices.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITSBase Salary
$55,000 – $65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Commission StructureNew Maintenance Agreement Sales
- Earn 5% – 10% commission on new maintenance contract dollars sold.
- Commission percentage may vary based on contract size, profitability, and management approval.
- Commission is earned only after customer payment has been received.
- Paid quarterly.
Contract Renewals
- Earn 2% commission on renewed maintenance agreement revenue.
- Paid quarterly after customer payment has been received.
Enhancement Sales
- Earn 5% commission on enhancement dollars sold.
- Includes all approved enhancement projects and additional services.
- Paid quarterly after customer payment has been received.
Expected Earnings
- Base Salary: $55,000 – $65,000
- Commission Opportunity: $15,000 – $30,000+
- Total Compensation Potential: $70,000 – $95,000+
