Duties
- Perform professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves with straight razors, beard trims, and grooming consultations.
- Apply advanced hair styling techniques using tools such as scissors, clippers, and straight razors to create personalized looks.
- Utilize salon software systems such as square for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.
- Educate clients on hair care routines, color theory principles, and product recommendations to promote healthy hair and maximize retail upselling opportunities.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools and workstations regularly in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, processing payments, and assisting with retail product sales.
- Support store management with inventory control, retail math calculations, and achieving sales goals through effective communication skills.
Qualifications
- Valid state cosmetology or barbering license with current certification to perform professional grooming services.
- Proven experience in barbering techniques including haircutting with scissors and clippers, straight razor shaves, and beard grooming.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Store management skills including retail sales techniques, upselling strategies, retail math proficiency, and front desk operations.
