Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Engineer to be our senior Oracle Fusion Financials subject-matter expert in the United States. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Enterprise Technology, you will serve as the primary technical owner of OTG's Oracle Fusion Financial modules partnering closely with Finance leadership, a highly skilled offshore delivery team in India, and third-party vendors to design, configure, and continuously optimize our ERP landscape. This is a high impact role. You will set architectural direction, lead complex implementations and enhancements, own solution design decisions, and ensure the platform meets the evolving demands of a fast-paced, multi-location hospitality business. A significant dimension of this role is integration connecting Oracle Fusion Financials with OTG's operational systems via EDI and API-based integrations, including a critical integration with CrunchTime, our food & beverage management platform.
Key Responsibilities
· Own end-to-end solution architecture for Oracle Fusion Financials modules including GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, Expense Management, and Tax.
· Lead design and review of functional and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with OTG's financial processes and Oracle best practices.
· Evaluate new Oracle Cloud quarterly releases, assess impact on existing configurations, and recommend adoption of relevant features.
· Lead and deliver Oracle Fusion Financials enhancements, module rollouts, and integration projects from requirements through go live.
· Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Operations stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Oracle solutions.
· Drive configuration, CEMLI development oversight (Customizations, Extensions, Modifications, Localizations, Integrations), and unit/regression testing.
· Partner with the offshore India team to plan sprints, review deliverables, and ensure quality of output across time zones.
· Own the end-to-end integration architecture between Oracle Fusion Financials and OTG's internal and external systems – spanning POS, payroll, procurement, banking, SCM, and operational platforms.
· Lead the design, build, and ongoing management of the vendor integrations with Oracle Fusion Financials, covering financial data flows such as cost of goods, inventory valuation, and vendor invoice processing.
· Architect and govern EDI integrations with external trading partners, suppliers, and financial institutions – including EDI 810 (Invoice), 820 (Payment), 850 (Purchase Order), 856 (ASN), and other transaction sets relevant to OTG's supply chain and financial operations.
· Define EDI standards, mapping specifications, and error-handling protocols; work with EDI VAN providers and direct trading partners to onboard, test, and maintain document flows.
· Lead Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) architecture decisions for financial and operational data flows; evaluate and recommend appropriate integration patterns (real-time, batch, event-driven).
· Establish integration monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes to ensure data integrity and minimal disruption to financial operations.
· Oversee data migration strategy and execution for financial entities (Chart of Accounts, suppliers, customers, open balances).
· Serve as the escalation owner for Oracle Fusion Financials production issues triaging, diagnosing, and resolving incidents with urgency and minimal disruption to financial operations.
· Provide dedicated month-end close support: ensure all Oracle Fusion financial processes (journal posting, subledger accounting, reconciliations, period close) complete accurately and on schedule.
· Partner with Accounting and Finance teams through the monthly close cycle proactively monitoring for errors, resolving period close exceptions, and validating financial data integrity before close.
· Manage and prioritize the production support queue, coordinate with the offshore team on ticket resolution, SLA adherence, and root cause analysis.
· Lead post incident reviews for critical production issues; implement preventive measures and process improvements to reduce recurrence.
· Maintain runbooks and support playbooks for common production scenarios, month end procedures, and known issue workarounds.
· Coordinate with Oracle on SRs and patch management.
Require Qualifications
· 12+ years of Oracle ERP experience, with at least 5 years focused on Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials (not EBS alone).
· Deep hands-on expertise in three or more of: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Subledger Accounting (SLA), or Tax.
· Proven track record leading Oracle Fusion Financials implementations or major enhancement programs end-to-end.
· Strong understanding of CEMLI development including OTBI/BIP reporting, BI Publisher, FBDI/ADFDI data loading, and REST/SOAP integrations.
· Demonstrated experience designing and managing EDI integrations – including document mapping, trading partner onboarding, VAN/AS2 connectivity, and common transaction sets (810, 820, 850, 856).
· Experience integrating Oracle Fusion with food & beverage, hospitality, or restaurant management platforms.
· Experience working with or managing offshore/nearshore delivery teams.
· Ability to translate complex financial business processes into Oracle configuration and design decisions.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· US based and authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Oracle Fusion SCM modules (Procurement, Inventory, Order Management) and cross module integration touchpoints.
· Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or comparable middleware (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica).
· Background in hospitality, food & beverage, retail, or multi-location consumer operations.
· Familiarity with CrunchTime or similar F&B management platforms (inventory, recipe costing, labor).
· Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud certification(s).
· Familiarity with SOX compliance controls within Oracle Fusion environments.
· Experience configuring Multi-Org and Multi-Currency setups in Oracle Cloud.
