Patrol Officer

Essential Duties
- Conduct proactive patrols throughout the Village using department-issued vehicles and equipment
- Enforce local ordinances and Ohio state laws
- Respond to calls for service and emergency situations
- Conduct investigations and complete required reports
- Promote positive community relations through outreach and engagement
- Work collaboratively with residents, businesses, and community partners to enhance public safety
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (O.P.O.T.C.) Peace Officer Certification required, or current enrollment in an approved Ohio police academy
- Prior law enforcement, security, or military experience is preferred
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred
- Ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical incidents
- Familiarity with surveillance systems and de-escalation techniques
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain alert, observant, and professional during extended shifts
