Position Summary
The Assistant Glazier is an entry-level role supporting glaziers on basic commercial projects, with a strong focus on learning and development. This position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and following directions, and offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational glazing skills. This position has a daily start time of 5:00 a.m.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the crew with glass and metal installations.
- Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment for daily tasks.
- Learn job site procedures and apply basic glazing techniques while anticipating team needs and next steps.
- Load and unload materials and equipment for all teams.
- Clean and maintain the work area and company vehicle daily.
- Support Glaziers and the Lead Glazier throughout all phases of installation.
- Ensure proper return and storage of unused materials.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
- Complete and submit all required daily reports on time in Procore.
- Safely operate company vehicles and trucks in accordance with DOT requirements, including maintaining current DOT medical certification.
What We’re Looking for
- HS Diploma or GED
- Prior experience as a Commercial Glazier or similar construction role.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Team-oriented attitude and commitment to safety.
- Eager to learn operation of machinery including power tools, saws, hand tools, polishing equipment, forklift, and other miscellaneous equipment
- Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in English and Spanish
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, or climb ladders(heights over 8 feet) for extended periods during site visits.
- Lift and move glass, tools, and equipment regularly.
- Comfortable navigating active construction sites, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
This is a full-time position based in Marietta, GA, starting daily at 5:00 AM.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
