About the Role
Pagulayan is a fast-growing sporting goods and social media brand with a loyal international following across our platforms. What started as a content‑driven billiards brand has evolved into an e‑commerce business serving retail customers, wholesale partners, sponsorship accounts, affiliates, and consignment partners worldwide.
We’re looking for an Email Marketing Specialist who can own the email channel end to end: build and grow the list, design and send campaigns, manage flows, and continually optimize performance. This is not a basic newsletter role—you’ll be creating campaigns around product launches, promotions, giveaways, seasonal moments, retention, and list growth for a passionate global audience of cue-sport fans.
This is a fully remote but structured position. You must be available Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST, and be comfortable working on a live screen share with the team for the full duration of each shift.
What You’ll Do
- Build, manage, and grow the Pagulayan email list across customer, wholesale, and partner segments.
- Create and schedule email campaigns in Klaviyo, including product launches, promotions, giveaways, seasonal campaigns, and retention pushes.
- Design emails, banners, and supporting creative assets that are on‑brand, mobile‑optimized, and conversion‑focused (primarily using Canva).
- Set up, manage, and optimize automated flows including welcome series, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post‑purchase, win‑back, VIP, and giveaway follow‑up sequences.
- Segment audiences based on purchase history, engagement, customer type (retail, wholesale, affiliate, sponsor), and campaign goals to improve relevance and performance.
- Maintain account health, including list hygiene, suppression management, deliverability, and sender reputation across all sending domains.
- Monitor and report on key metrics: open rate, click rate, revenue, conversion rate, AOV, unsubscribe rate, spam complaints, and deliverability.
- Use AI tools to increase output quality and speed for copywriting, design variations, subject line testing, and workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with the marketing, creative, and web teams to align email messaging with social, website, and paid campaigns.
- Support list growth initiatives via pop‑ups, landing pages, giveaways, lead magnets, and segmentation strategies.
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on e‑commerce email marketing experience (required).
- Direct experience with Klaviyo, including campaigns, flows, segments, and reporting (required).
- Strong understanding of e‑commerce email strategy, including lifecycle marketing, customer retention, and promotional calendaring.
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to write clear, punchy, conversion‑focused email copy tailored to different audiences.
- Graphic design skills with experience designing emails and assets in Canva (or similar).
- Proven experience building and optimizing automated flows, not just one‑off sends.
- Solid understanding of email deliverability, list hygiene, segmentation, and list growth best practices.
- Familiarity with AI tools for copywriting, design, campaign planning, analysis, or workflow automation.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage competing priorities without letting things slip.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and collaborating via live screen share for the full shift.
Preferred
- Experience with Shopify or similar e‑commerce platforms.
- Experience running giveaways, contests, gamified campaigns, or influencer‑driven promotions.
- Experience growing lists through pop‑ups, landing pages, giveaways, lead magnets, or customer segmentation strategies.
- Experience reporting on email revenue, campaign performance, and testing insights to inform future strategy.
