Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, hair extensions, and hair threading with precision and artistry.
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently.
- Provide expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and styling techniques tailored to each client’s needs.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace adhering to all sanitation protocols and industry standards.
- Engage with clients through effective communication skills to understand their desires and deliver personalized service experiences.
- Upsell retail products like hair care items, makeup, nail care products, and accessories to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair coloring, barbering (including straight razor use), and customer service excellence.
- Manage store operations efficiently by assisting with retail math calculations and inventory management when needed.
Experience
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with current licensing requirements met for your region.
- Demonstrated experience working in the beauty industry across various services such as hair styling, coloring, makeup application, nail care, or barbering.
- Proficiency in salon software platforms like MINDBODY or similar systems for appointment booking and client management.
- Strong knowledge of color theory, sanitation practices, and the latest trends in hair styling and grooming.
- Hands-on experience with hair extensions, hair coloring techniques, hair threading, and use of tools like straight razors is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect confidently with clients while providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
