Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Demand Writer to join our personal injury legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting clear, compelling, and accurate legal demand letters that effectively communicate clients’ claims and position our firm for successful resolution. Your expertise in personal injury, combined with exceptional writing skills and organizational abilities, will be essential in supporting our attorneys and ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal documentation. Duties
- Draft precise and persuasive demand letters across a broad spectrum of legal practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, personal injury, civil litigation, family law, securities law, tribal law, patent law, workers' compensation, landlord-tenant law, and more
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to gather relevant case law, statutes, regulations, and procedural information
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to gather necessary case facts through interviews and document review
- Manage multiple demand projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines
- Utilize document management systems to organize case files and maintain accurate records
- Proofread and edit drafts for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to procedural law requirements
- Handle confidential client information with the utmost discretion and professionalism
- Assist with general administrative support tasks including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and document formatting using Microsoft Office applications
Experience
- Proven experience in legal support roles with a focus on legal writing or drafting demand letters
- Paralegal experience or personal injury law office experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procedural law in personal injury.
- Familiarity with legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in document review and proofreading
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), document management systems (iManage), and legal case management software (PCLaw) is highly desirable
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise legal documents
- Experience handling confidential information with integrity and professionalism

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
