Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady, LLP is seeking a Conflicts/File Opening Clerk who will be responsible for working closely with firm attorneys, as well as other members of the Accounting Department. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.
The position requires acute attention to detail, accuracy, as well as organizational and researching capabilities. This position is responsible for upholding the standards of quality, consistency, accuracy, thoroughness, and customer service as defined and implemented by the Firm.
Responsibilities include:

Review, research and prepare new client/matter conflict reports.

Review, research and prepare lateral conflict reports.

Review and process new client and matter intake documents.

Review and input client and matter information into client/matter database.
-
Review and process client / matter updates including but not limited to matter closures, reactivations, add party requests and relationship partner updates.

Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent interpersonal skills, a sense of humor and the ability to respond to time critical and complex situations calmly and positively.

Must be extremely detailed oriented, organized and have great follow through skills.

Strong ethics and compliance aptitude with an ability to spot and issue and find ways to resolve.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The ability to pay close attention to detail and to carefully follow instructions and adhere to established procedures is critical.

This position can be 100% remote or work out of any of our current locations.
EXPERIENCE

1+ years of legal conflicts experience required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with Aderant preferred.
