Progressive high-quality periodontal office seeks a motivated, enthusiastic and team player individual to join our practice as a full-time dental assistant (Monday-Thursday and possibly 1 Friday per month). Emphasis on personal development through continuing education, participation with other team members and high achievement.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Taking x-rays/CBCT and taking impressions
- Preparing patients for diagnosis or treatment
- Assisting doctor during diagnosis and surgical treatment
- Asking about the patient's medical history
- Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatment
- Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other treatment
- Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
(e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, etc)
- Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
- Communicating with patients and suppliers
(e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone)
- Clean and stock operatories
Experience:
- Medical assistant: 1-2 years (Preferred)
Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Requirement:

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
