Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Waterford Inn II. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional culinary skills, strong leadership qualities, and a passion for delivering outstanding dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Supervise and manage the kitchen team, including sous chefs, line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
- Create and implement training programs to improve kitchen efficiency and staff skills.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment that fosters teamwork and high morale.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations of kitchen personnel.
- Menu Planning & Development:
- Design and execute creative, innovative, and seasonal menus in line with restaurant concepts.
- Update and refresh menus periodically based on customer preferences, trends, and market availability.
- Ensure the presentation, taste, and quality of all dishes consistently meet restaurant standards.
- Food Quality & Consistency:
- Maintain a strong focus on quality control, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste, texture, and appearance.
- Monitor and review food preparation processes to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish.
- Budget & Cost Management:
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and ensure optimal use of supplies to minimize waste.
- Prepare and adhere to food cost budgets, ensuring profitability without compromising quality.
- Monitor and control food and labor costs while maintaining high standards.
- Health & Safety Compliance:
- Maintain and enforce all health and safety standards, including proper sanitation practices and food safety guidelines.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in good working condition and performs regular checks.
- Customer Relations:
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Address any customer concerns regarding food quality or dining experience with professionalism and care.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
- Exceptional culinary skills and creativity, with a deep understanding of global cuisine and modern cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing kitchen staff.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, kitchen equipment, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A degree or certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience preferred.
- Passion for food, hospitality, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Base Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
